Breathtaking images of U-576 and SS Bluefields taken during the 2016 Battle of the Atlantic Expedition. Images, video, and laser scans are available directly through the Ocean Explorer website.
National Marine Sanctuaries
The Media Library is an online vault where a comprehensive collection of select video clips and high-resolution still images from America's underwater treasures are securely stored and available for searchable access and download.
You can also visit the National Marine Sanctuary photo library and the NOAA photo library for additional images of the Monitor.
Check back with us regularly to see what we've added. Maps, graphics, photographs, and video clips of habitats, people, creatures, and events will be just a click away. Take the plunge and see more of these underwater treasures!
Visit the Sanctuary Store where a portion of the proceeds from your purchase will go to support the Foundation's efforts of conservation-based education and outreach programs designed to preserve, protect and promote our oceans and America's underwater treasures.
For historic images of the Monitor and crew visit the Naval History and Heritage Command's website.
